#STAYATHOME and learn something new!
????The COVID-19 pandemic is challenging to say the least, and I have been using this time as an opportunity to learn new things. Luckily, there are a lot of free upcoming summits to learn about money.
????Money is such a touchy topic, and when @heyberna hosted her money summit a few weeks ago, it made me realize that I have been holding off on doing things to save money. Such as, calling to negotiate my cellphone bill, brushing up on investment terms, and researching better rates for saving accounts.
???? As a result of this summit, I took action and found free @clevergirlfinance courses to learn more about money. The investing course was very helpful and advised to look at past success, failures, future projections, trends, fees, media mentions, and leadership track records before buying investments.
????In addition, I did research on @reddit, and it look like T-Mobile is offering a 50% discount on your bill if you switch to the temporary COVID-19 3GB plan. However, this is up for debate if you have a cheaper grandfathered phone plan.
???? I also did a digital detox and found out that my @chase Ink Business Preferred credit card offers cellphone protection and 3x the points.
???? I also realized I was not using this credit card to pay for this bill, and I was already paying for insurance with T-Mobile, when this credit card has cellphone protection included.
???? To be fair, I only had this credit card for a month, but this was still a good reminder to always check for any benefit updates for credit cards. In addition, you can move your Chase Ink points to Chase Sapphire Reserve for a higher redemption value at 1.5 cents in the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal for travel.
????So yes, if you are free to attend any of these free money events, be sure to sign up!
????Swipe to see the dates and the speakers listed, and you may get a wake up call and learn something new too!
